🚓 City Centre Beat Team – Weekly Round‑Up 🚓 It’s been another busy week for your City Centre Beat Team, working hard to keep Leicester safe and feeling safer. Here’s what we’ve been up to: ✅ Proactive patrols & drug seizure
PCSO Tim has been out on proactive patrol around Town Hall Square, where he seized a large quantity of Class A drugs. Another positive step in disrupting drug activity in the city centre. ✅ Improving building security
PC Ellis has been working closely with the Community Safety Team, issuing an action plan to a problem housing provider to ensure their building is made secure and safer for residents. ✅ Supporting faith communities
PC Katie has been engaging with several religious establishments across the city centre, offering support around crime prevention and tackling anti-social behaviour concerns. ✅ Public engagement events
PCSOs Donna and Jane held an engagement event at Silver Arcade and the Blood Donor Centre, speaking with members of the public about local issues and promoting Neighbourhood Link. ✅ CBO work & enforcement
PC Dean has completed a new application for a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO), and in separate action, a male already subject to a CBO was arrested for breaching his conditions. ✅ Operation Pedalfast success
The team carried out another deployment of Operation Pedalfast, resulting in 20 illegal vehicles being seized for driving without insurance — keeping our roads safer for everyone.
